STAY SAFE AMSTERDAM
Stay Safe Amsterdam is an initiative by Dutch fashion label ELM-PT and floral artist Hariatie Eleveld. In the global fight against the virus the duo want to show their spirit of solidarity through aid to impoverished communities in Indonesia whilst providing a fashionable alternative face covers.
Working with small ateliers in Amsterdam, Stay Safe Amsterdam creates masks crafted from locally sourced fabrics with a unique Batik print. Each mask can be fitted with a HEPA-certified vacuum filter for extra protection. The products are reusable, machine washable at 60 degrees and come in a range of sizes.
The masks are made from 100% cotton, the best material to capture particles yet remain breathable.

Giving back
A percentage of sales from each Batik mask is donated in food and other essentials to impoverished communities in Bogor, Java, Indonesia.
In The Netherlands we have many resources and are generally well looked after. Indonesia, once a Dutch colony, has over 25 million people living below the poverty line.
In partnership with a local charity liaison, we provide essentials in a so called Sembako bag. These are filled with ingredients like rice, oil, sugar, canned fish and other basic foods. Everything is bought and sourced locally from various small warungs to support as many local businesses as possible. The bags we use are recycled spin bound and divided amongst the people who need it most. To date we have initiated 2 food donations to more then 100 families and will continue to do so in accordance with local regulations and while conditions are safe.
